About Maija Fiebig

Maija Fiebig was raised in Japan and the pacific northwest and currently lives and works in Seattle. As a botanist, Maija visually takes apart the plant forms that she works with to create abstract and ethereal forms. Other influences of Japanese design and textiles are used as a subtle background to the paintings. Her work has been exhibited in Portland, OR, Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, and is in the collections of Harborview Medical Center, the Seattle Office of Art + Culture, and the Microsoft Corporation.
